Youth Tour Success Stories

Ohio's Electric Cooperatives Youth Tour

We’re proud to share that Savannah Payez, a 2024 Youth Tour alum who represented Harrison Rural Electrification Association, Inc. in West Virginia, has been selected to return to Washington, D.C., as a Staff Assistant for the Electric Cooperative Youth Tour. Savannah joined our Youth Tour group as West Virginia’s representative, and we’re excited to see her continue her Youth Tour journey in such a meaningful way.

Each year, the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association selects Youth Tour alumni to serve as Staff Assistants during Youth Tour week. These alumni play a key role in making the experience a success by supporting logistics, mentoring delegates, hosting Youth Day, and working alongside cooperative staff. The program allows Staff Assistants to build leadership, communication, and networking skills while giving back to the next generation of cooperative leaders. Congratulations, Savannah!
